ARABIC LANGUAGE AND MEMORISATION

Welcome everyone and I wish you all a happy Ramadan. The holy month of Ramadan is one of the most important months of the lunar calendar for Muslims.

Our students are very enthusiastic about celebrating Ramadan, with reading Quran and reflecting on the meaning of it. I encourage students to present at assembly, a Surah they have been memorising for the past week.

This week, Mariam El-Houali presented a Surah, Al-Naba. She read it very fluently and clearly.

During Arabic classes, I am giving students different texts about aspects of Ramadan. In the younger classes, they are doing many colouring sheets, while in older classes, they are doing texts about Ramadan in different culture and why we celebrate it.

This month is a great time in Islamic culture and I’m glad I get to teach all our students about it.
